About Us
The FFC
The French Camel Federation (FFC) is actively involved in promoting the welfare and good treatment of camelids in France, in alignment with the 2024 International Year of Camellids declared by the UN.
The French Camel Federation develops the amateur and professional sector of large camelids in France while promoting the well-being and good treatment of animals. Man and the camel, emphasizing the moral responsibility of man towards camelids.
Reminder of the context:
Today, it is clear that there is confusion and even confusion in the perception of the FFC's missions. In this regard, a reminder is necessary to describe the coherence of its positioning.
The FFC, concerning large camelids, does not have the vocation to:
- Promote projects anchored in the activity of the agro-industrial camel sector.
- Organize events that are vectors for the intensification of camel production and agricultural trade.
- Create synergies between public and private organizations with the aim of promoting the creation of high-yield production platforms for camel milk and meat.
- Integrate an operational process for camelid embryo transfer.

Our missions
1. Support human-scale initiatives: Promote local and ethical projects that promote respect for animals and people.
2. Promote French know-how and artisanal manufacturing: Promote crafts and traditional products linked to the world of camelids.
3. Increase sharing and exchanges in a cultural framework: Organize events and meetings that combine heritage, history and culture around dromedaries.
4. Protect camelid owners: Offer insurance solutions and support in the face of administrative and health constraints.
5. Participate in any initiative to promote organic farming: Integrate camelids into environmentally friendly practices.
6. Promote the sporting, leisure, tourist and cultural dimensions:
- Sport: Encourage the practice of races and sporting demonstrations with dromedaries, while guaranteeing their well-being.
- Leisure: Develop fun and family activities with dromedaries to strengthen human-animal bonds.
- Tourism: Support responsible tourism around camelids, promoting local landscapes and cultural heritage.
- Culture: Highlight the traditions and history associated with dromedaries, both in France and internationally.
7. Integrate animal mediation to serve young people: Offer educational and personal development activities through respectful and enriching contact with dromedaries, promoting the development of young people in a caring environment.
In short, the FFC is committed to working in a spirit of respect, sharing and innovation, while placing dromedaries at the heart of its initiatives to meet contemporary needs.

Building the future
In contrast to an industrial vision focused on economic profitability, the FFC favors a balanced approach that values individual and regional initiative, while emphasizing education, sport and the well-being of camels. Its missions are based on respect for life, the earth and utility, with vigilance against any action deemed harmful. The FFC adopts a participatory approach, far from sectoral interests, and aims to maintain a balance between education, sport and the well-being of camels.
